Compromised  is set in a maximum security prison, it features a couple of correctional officers, Daniel "Kash" Kashaveroff and Zane Davis, who go from friends with benefits to something more. Zane's bisexuality causes problem as does Kash's interest in proving the innocence of an inmate, Cody Ives.

This is book one in the Uniformity series, so what can you tell us about the next instalment?

Damaged features characters introduced in Compromised including Brett Emerson, a ginger with horrible fashion sense. There's betrayal and prison conspiracy.

You have recently returned to Oregon, so why have you decided to settle there?

I grew up in Oregon so it was more like coming home. I'd lived in Nevada twelve years and it was time to leave. A job issue made it happen sooner rather than later.

You are obsessed with books, so who are your favourite reads?

Marie Sexton and Carter Quinn are awesome writers as well as good friends of mine. K.A. Mitchell is an auto-buy. I love everything she writes. I've also recently read books by S.E. Jakes and love her style.

What is your opinion of female writers who choose to write about gay lovers?

People who say women shouldn't write gay romance are short-sighted and moronic. Stephen King isn't a teenage girl with mental powers and a psycho mother, yet he did a fine job with "Carrie."

What is the appeal of men in uniform for you?

To me it's about the power and influence they have. Not just sexy looking but also strong and commanding.

Why did you decide to set the book in a prison?

While in Nevada I worked at a maximum security prison for seven years. During my time there I came up with lots of plot ideas.

Why is it important for writers to keep producing gay romance?

Gay romance should be as visible as straight romance. It's important that gay men have equal rights and that people see that our love is the same as everyone else's.

What is next for you?

I'm about to start writing book three in the Uniformity series. It will be about an inmate named Dylan Hoss who is in both of the other books. I also want to write a sequel to Past Tense as well as a new book in the Cristian Flesh series.
