I have always had a fear of spiders. Eric was created when having to deal with a very large spider at home, alone. This has enabled me to to gradually overcome this fear.

I would like to think that I have a creative mind. I enjoy being hands on, creating things with the grandchildren and reupholstering old pieces of furniture.

Cooking disaster. Chocolate cake that came out as hard a brick, accompanied by runny, lumpy custard. This is still talked about from my daughter and her friends some 35 years after the event (not much improved).

I am very passionate about my line of work. I am a support worker for adults with learning disabilities. I feel very privileged and it is the most the rewarding job.

Another favourite pastime is metal detecting with a good neighbour. We both get very excited on the discovery of an old rusty 2 pence. Our greatest discovery being a Queen Victorian coin, worth £1.50. But the laughter is worth a lot more.

One of my favourites is the TV super sleuth, Columbo. With a soft spot for Worzel Gummidge and Catweazel.

I am very family orientated. Birthdays and Christmas are the best excuses for surprises. The sillier, the better.

I would rather be outside than inside. I really enjoy a good boot sale. One persons's rubbish is another persons's bargain.

Like most people of this world, I am a great fan of Elvis. He was blessed.  One of my favourite songs being "if I can dream"

If I could do it all again..... I would.
