Bon Jovi rocker David Bryan is planning to write a musical about the New Jersey rock band. The keyboard maestro has already penned songs for two musicals, 'Memphis' and 'Sweet Valley High', but revealed Broadway would have to wait for a Bon Jovi inspired production because there were already too many band-based shows. He told BANG Showbiz: "Maybe down the road, you never know, but at the moment the scene has kind of got clouded up with those kind of musicals."The Abba one is huge but for every Abba there are 15 that didn't become huge. So I mean it's just not right yet."Bryan is not the only star turning his hand to musicals.'South Park' creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone are currently working on a Broadway show - about Mormons. The new production - which will be co-created by 'Avenue Q' writer Jeff Marx - is currently being developed by the comic duo.
Marx told BANG Showbiz: "Trey and Matt were over with me in London recently when I opened 'Q' here and so far we've written about four songs but we've got loads more ideas.
"The show is going to have nothing to do with their show, 'South Park', or my musical. It'll be something totally new and totally different.
He added: "It's going to be about Mormons and it's going to be really funny... we hope."
