FRANK GEHRY LAUGHS OFF BRAD PITT BUILDING PROJECT Acclaimed architect FRANK GEHRY has laughed off reports he is building an seaside skyscraper with BRAD PITT, insisting the Hollywood hunk only mused over the idea for a brief moment. Last year (05) building company Karis claimed the TROY actor was assisting Canadian Gehry with the design of a (£195 million) residential complex on the seafront of Brighton in southern England. However, Gehry, 76, has told America's Newsweek magazine he only mentioned the idea of designing a bar in the complex to Pitt during one brief meeting and it was never discussed again. Gehry says, "The guys at Brighton knew I knew Brad Pitt and knew he was interested in architecture. They asked me if he would like to participate and designing the bar or an apartment or something. "So I called him and asked him and he said, 'Maybe.' He came by the office and looked at it, and somebody here took a picture of him leaning over the model next to me. I don't know how it got into the press. From that day, I've never heard from him." Gehry also laughed off claims he had taken Pitt on as an apprentice, explaining, "He's called to my office twice. Once he called and asked if he could come and somebody gave him a tour and I met him for two minutes. Then, this second time. And I went to dinner with him after that, with JENNIFER (ANISTON)."
