Katies Arrval and First Day

Quote Of The Day:
Of the TV show (The Apprentice) Katie said: "I enjoyed it. At the time I thought I would come out of it looking okay, but the reality was I came out of it looking like a bit of a bitch - well that might be an understatement."Katie walks into camp: Lynne says to Janice: "She was in the British version of The Apprentice. She had affairs with married men, there were pictures in the tabloids. Janice says: "If she starts I'll slap her!"
Katie Arrives In The Jungle
Katie Hopkins arrived in the jungle to be met by Gemma who was on her way to take part in the Celebrity Chest. The two were to take part in an adventure where they would go head-to-head against John and Anna from their rival team.On going to the camp several days after the other celebrities, Katie said: "I don’t think I’ve got anything to prove here. The only thing I’ve got is a massive amount of guilt. I’ve come here (to Australia). I’ve been eating, I’ve been sleeping, I’ve been having hot showers and so I just feel guilty really, so I’ve got to do something about that somewhere down the line."Gemma told Katie about the lack of food for the camp and the pressure was on to try and win the Celebrity Chest. They met John and Anna in a clearing and discovered the chest was a race across a lake which involved each team untangling a buoy attached by ropes to logs balanced across the water. By untangling the buoy they would be able to access a key to open the chest at the other end.On realising who their new opponent was Anna said: "That’s that lady from The Apprentice. I think I was a little bit intimidated because she’s a high flying business lady. I didn’t watch all of it I saw some of it. They’re business women, and they’re hard nosed, they run big companies. I paint things." ,p> In the battle to retrieve the chest Gemma and her new teammate Katie beat Anna and John and then had the arduous task of carrying the chest back to camp.

Katie Is Introduced To Her New Team Mates And The Celebrities Cheat When They Open The Chest
Gemma returned to the camp after taking part in the Celebrity Chest with her new team mate Katie Hopkins and introduced her to the other celebrities. As they approached the camp Gemma announced: "We’ve got a new team member and a chest."

Lynne told Janice: "She was in The Apprentice... she was highly competitive."

Katie shook hands with her fellow campers.

Gemma said of her experience in the Celebrity Chest: "I’m wet and stinking of fish."

Janice asked her: "Were you in the other camp?"

Katie replied: "No, I’ve only come in today. I’ve been in the real world on the outside."

Janice told her: "Because you were Malcolm’s replacement."

Katie said: "Well yes I didn’t know anything about him either."

They then got down to business to try to correctly answer the Celebrity Chest question and get a treat.

It was: Which of the following do women worry about most often - money or appearance?

They chose appearance but the answer was actually money.

Gemma said: "We could have had chocolate, we could have had biscuits."

Lynne didn’t believe the answer to the survey was correct. She said: ‘I don’t believe it. I work with women all the time. Can I see the results of the survey?"

As J looked at the chest, Katie asked: "Are you going to bust it?

J broke into the other side of the chest and they took the biscuits inside it.

Katie didn’t have one though, telling the others: "No really I’ve just come from pig trough central."

Tell It How It Is Katie
New arrival Katie said: "If there’s something that needs saying, Katie Hopkins will always make sure it gets said. During The Apprentice I certainly came over as a superbitch. It seemed to be that I was saying things behind people’s backs.

"The truth is that I’ll say it to their face. I’ll say it out loud and I’m not afraid of saying it. So people either love me or they loathe me and I commend that. I’d rather be loved and loathed than be in this murky middle ground of mediocrity."

"I don’t mind the outdoors. I’ve been through the Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst, I’m a tough cookie. I can walk as far as a man can walk. I can run as fast than any man I know. I’m a tough individual. I get on better with men. I find them to be funnier. I find men to be better in business than women. Men spend a lot less time worrying about themselves and a lot more time worrying about the things in life that matter."
