The music entrepreneur Marion “Suge” Knight has shrugged off rumours he was ejected from his LA flat last week (23 March 07), asserting he was only moving house.

Reports emerged on Tuesday (27March07) alleging that several law enforcement agents arrived at Knight's luxury home on Wilshire Boulevard last Friday to assist with the eviction and seizure of the Death Row Records founder's possessions. But Knight's publicist Jonathan Wolfson denied the claims and is unsure how the false news spread so quickly. He tells AllHipHop.com, "Suge Knight was not evicted from his Wilshire condominium. "I don't understand how his move could have been misunderstood as an eviction. He is currently living at an undisclosed location in Malibu, (California)." Knight, whose label is responsible for the success of rappers Tupac Shakur and Snoop Dogg, was last week (ends25March07) served with a $300,000 (£153,846) lawsuit by Rap-A-Lot Records, who claim they are owed for a collaboration album featuring a posthumous Shakur and Rap-A-Lot MC, Scarface. Knight's assets were frozen in 2005, with the mogul filing for bankruptcy a year later in 2006.
