Movie icon Lauren Bacall has vowed to haunt her children from beyond the grave if they ever allow a film of her life to be made. The 82-year-old star admits she has turned down countless offers to turn her glamorous life into a biopic - and she wants her estate to follow her lead.She says, "I've told my children I'll haunt them forever if they do that."Bacall's role in To Have and Have Not in 1944, with Humphrey Bogart, catapulted her to stardom and her performance in the film is widely reguarded as one of the most powerful debuts in film history.The actress went on to on star with Bogat in three more movies including The Big Sleep, Dark Passage and Key Largo.Bacall married Bogart in 1945 she was 20 and Bogart was 45 their marriage lasted until 1957 when the actor died of cancer. The couple had two children. She mariied actor Jason Robards in 1961 and the had a child. But they divorced in 1969 due to Robards' alcoholism.

The last decade has seen a resurgance in her career appearing in The Mirror Has Two faces, Birth, adn The Limit. She will next be seen in The Walker.
