Chas (Lucy Pargeter) wakes up in the hotel room and is horrified to discover the man lying next to her is dead. She calls Lexi (Sally Oliver) in a panic but she dismisses Chas' concerns. After Chas reveals they could be implicated in a crime, Lexi suggests they do a runner. Lexi is opportunistic and steals his wallet as they leave. Later Chas is shocked when the police turn up to ask her some questions, as the room had been booked in her name. Meanwhile, Matthew (Matt Healy) is concerned after he sees Rosemary (Linda Thorson) escorting an ill Perdy (Goergia Slowe) out of the house. Rosemary summons the doctor and tells him about the kitten and the babygros. He believes Perdy may be suffering from a form of psychosis brought on by her depression. Later a concerned Matthew visits Perdy and warns her to keep Rosemary at arms length. Is it too late for Perdy?

Elsewhere, Pearl (Meg Johnson) is unrepentant following her vandalising of the cottage and Jasmine’s (Jenna-Louise Coleman) article appears in the courier getting the villagers talking.

When Pollard (Chris Chittell) refuses to give back Pearl’s possessions, Duke (Dicken Ashworth) rallies the troops and the factory workers walk out. Will hitting Pollard where it hurts force a change of heart?
