Nicole Kidman is set to be named Citizen of the World by the United Nations. The Oscar-winning actress will be handed the prestigious award by Secretary-General Kofi Annan next month at the organisation's gala dinner dance, in honour of her humanitarian efforts. Last year, the award was given to fellow Hollywood beauty Angelina Jolie. Earlier this year, Nicole starred in the movie 'The Interpreter', which was filmed at the UN headquarters in New York, and during filming breaks she regularly mingled with UN officials. Meanwhile, Nicole, 37, recently revealed she is desperate to become pregnant. The flame-haired beauty, who has two adopted children, Isabella and Connor, with ex-husband Tom Cruise, admitted she would love to have a baby of her own before she gets too old to conceive. She confessed: "I'm not pregnant but I would love to be. That's the kind of thing I hope happens at some stage before I get old."

However, Nicole - who tragically suffered a miscarriage when she split from Tom in 2001 - wants to find another husband first.

Nicole explained to Britain's Closer magazine last week: "I don't know how it would be to consciously make the decision on my own - I don't know if I have the wherewithal for that. But it would be lovely to have another child with somebody.

"I would love to be married again. I'm still a huge believer in marriage. I like being married and I like having a family.

I think there's something lovely about raising a child together."
