Just days after it was reported that the Green Bay Packers quarterback is in a "low key" relationship with Shailene Woodley, Aaron has revealed he is set to wed.
During an acceptance speech for the 2020 NFL Most Valuable Player award, Aaron revealed he "got engaged" last year.
He said: "2020 was definitely a crazy year filled with lots of change, growth, some amazing, memorable moments, 180 straight days of having my nose hair scraped, playing for very little fans or no stands the entire season. I got engaged and I played some of the best football in my career. So I’d like to thank, first and foremost, my teammates for their support, their inspiration, protection, incredible play on the field … off the field I’ve got a great group of people that support me, so I’d like to thank my team.”
He then thanked a number of other people, including Shailene's 'The Mauritanian' co-star Jodie Foster, before shouting out “my fiancée".
Aaron concluded: "There’s so many more people I’m thankful for. Just encourage people to read books, to meditate, speak things to life, manifest the desires of your heart, question everything and spread love and positivity."
It was previously revealed that Aaron, 37, and Shailene, 29, have been conducting a long-distance relationship while Aaron has been based in Green Bay, Wisconsin, for his career, whilst Shailene is shooting 'Misanthrope' in Montreal, Canada.
A source told E! News: "They have kept things private and low key. They have seen each other and been in touch. They continue to talk and see each other when they can. They are both focused on their careers but they also make time for each other."
