The former 'Celebrity Big Brother' winner - who was previously married to Katie Price - has a female alter ego named Roxanne and has been open about his penchant for dressing in women's clothes.

He admits he feels as though he has an affinity with Caitlyn Jenner - who was formerly known as Bruce Jenner and underwent gender reassignment surgery this year.

Alex, 34, said: "Ever since I was a child I've been happy to dress up and play different characters.

"Bruce [as Caitlyn was previously known] was mocked because trans people are the last social taboo. We don't have the same rights. Wow, I just said 'we'. I guess I am. Why not be trans?"

Cage fighter Alex said he is speaking out because he wants to "change the world with a dress".

In a frank interview with the new issue of Star magazine - for which he recreated Caitlyn's famous Vanity Fair cover by donning a while corset and striking an identical pose - he said: "I go to a cage fight and I get 99 per cent love, but one guy will say, 'Where's your dress, Roxy?' They try to belittle me.

"I believe in the strong defending the weak. I don't want to change the world with a gun, but maybe I can change the world with a dress."

When asked about his sexuality, Alex, who is engaged to personal trainer Nikki Manashe, insisted he doesn't believe in labels.

He explained: "I believe we're all souls. I could have been a woman. When the lights are off, we're all souls."

Alex has posted a photo on his Twitter account comparing him in the now famous white corset along with Caitlyn on the cover of Vanity Fair.

Alex's full interview and photographs are in the new issue of Star magazine, on sale now.
