The 49-year-old talk show host has revealed he is "single again", having quietly split from Clifton, who he previously described as a "Brazilian Andy Samberg" because of his likeness to the 'Hot Rod' star.

Asked about his relationship status by Entertainment Tonight, Andy confessed: "Yes, I am single again."

Andy made a concerted effort to keep his romance with Clifton low-key, having first revealed he was dating him in his 2016 memoir, 'Superficial: More Adventures From the Andy Cohen Diaries'.

The duo were, in fact, only ever photographed together on one occasion, while they were on holiday back in 2016.

Andy hasn't offered any reason for their split, but explained: "I didn't sign up for a reality show."

The popular host - who serves as an executive producer on 'The Real Housewives' franchise - also revealed what he's looking for in his ideal partner.

He shared: "Someone who's very independent, someone who has their own thing going on.

"Maybe someone who's never seen 'The Real Housewives'."

Meanwhile, Andy previously admitted to being frustrated that people are so quick to dismiss his opinions on serious issues just because of his association with the show.

The TV star insisted that he's always been a "thinking" person, and that his role with 'The Real Housewives' doesn't mean that his opinions are worthless.

He explained: "Look, I was a thinking person before the 'Housewives' ever came.

"I've been a TV producer for a long time - not that that's Mensa, but I've had a career, and I made my own way. So I just think, If I ever say something that someone doesn't want to hear, it's a very easy thing to then say, 'Oh, well, coming from the 'Housewives' guy, oh, really, Mr. 'Real Housewives'?'"
