The late 'Careless Whisper' singer's former partner, Fadi Fawaz, has revealed possessions in the property in London's Regent's Park could be repossessed because he has an outstanding debt of over £500 that he's been unable to pay.

The 44-year-old hairdresser shared a picture of an enforcement notice on Twitter, which revealed he owed £513.

Alongside the photo - which has been deleted after fans pointed out he'd shared the building's address - Fadi wrote: "Darling they have come to take your furniture coz I couldn't effort the fine. But don't worry I didn't open the door for them. (sic)"

Text on the enforcement notice stated: "Despite previous attempts at contact, this debt remains outstanding. Unless FULL PAYMENT is made immediately your goods could be removed and sold at public auction.

"If payment or contact is not received our Enforcement Agent will return at the time stipulated below.

"If payment is not made immediately you will be liable for substantial additional costs."

"Cheques will not be accepted."

According to the notice, the fine was issued by Transport for London for an offence in a red route area.

The penalty charge usually starts at £130, and is reduced to £65 for an early payment.

Meanwhile, a memorial to George - who died in December 2016 aged 53 - will be unveiled at his old school later this month.

A blue plaque will be erected at Bushey Meads School in Bushey, Hertfordshire, where the 'Shoot the Dog' hitmaker went to sixth form college and befriended his Wham! bandmate Andrew Ridgeley.

Andrew is expected to attend the unveiling on April 15, alongside Shirlie Holliman, one of the group's backing singers.
