Blake Shelton and Demi Lovato are among the celebrities who have paid tribute to Christina Grimmie.

The 22-year-old singer died of her wounds after an unnamed man opened fire on her when she was signing autographs after a gig in Orlando on Friday (10.06.16) and a number of stars have taken to social media to remember her.

Blake, a mentor on 'The Voice USA' where Christina was a former contestant, tweeted: "I'm stunned and disgusted and heartbroken that we lost that sweet little girl... Keeping @TheRealGrimmie family in my heart and mind."

Demi added: "my thoughts and prayers are with her loved ones.."

Nick Jonas wrote: "My heart hurts hearing this news.. So terrible. Praying for Christina and her family. #prayforchristina" while Cher Lloyd added: "Absolutely shocking. My prayers are with you @TheRealGrimmie."

Model Hailey Baldwin was also devastated by the loss, tweeting: "News about Christina Grimmie is beyond saddening. Thoughts go out to her family and friends. Rip to an amazing soul!" and Shawn Mendes wrote: "#RIPChristina i can't believe it. Absolutely every last bit of my love. Such an inspiration to me and so many."

Adam Levine, who was Christina's mentor on 'The Voice', shared his devastation on Instagram when he heard about the shooting.

Posting his message before it was confirmed that Christina had died, he added a prayer for her to pull through.

He wrote: "I'm sad, shocked and confused. We love you so much Grimmie... this just isn't fair. We are all praying hard that you can pull through this...this just isn't fair."

Christina's team took to Twitter to update her account with the words "The end" after her death was announced.

According to local police, Christina was shot about 22:45 local time on Friday at The Plaza Live in Orlando.

The gunman - who was tackled by Christina's brother - shot and killed himself after he opened fire on the singer.
