The Coldplay frontman - who has a good friendship with the rapper and his wife - has mused that he's secretly "Becky with the good hair" Beyonce appears to claim her husband has been cheating on her with in her new album 'Lemonade'.
Asked if he can shed light on who the mystery woman the 34-year-old singer references in her track 'Sorry', Chris told The Daily Mirror newspaper: "Yes, that's [Becky is] me. Jay and I have been seeing each other on-off for about 24 years.
"We just go bowling together. But people get the wrong idea because we're talking about walking around with big balls. I'm glad to have it off my chest."
Since the brunette beauty dropped the album last month, speculation has been rife about who the mystery woman could be, and one person in the firing line is Rita Ora.
However, the 25-year-old singer, who was signed to the rapper's Roc Nation label in 2008 but has since sued the firm for failing to produce a second album, has since poured cold water on the rumours by posing for a cosy photograph with Beyonce at this week's Met Gala in New York City.
The 'Halo' hitmaker hinted the 46-year-old rapper - whom she married in 2009 and with whom she has four-year-old daughter Blue Ivy - had committed an adultery offence in her new LP as she belted out the lyrics, "My daddy warned me about men like you cause every promise, don't work out that way. Nothing seems to hurt like the smile on your face."
However, some fans believes the whole thing could be a publicity stunt to create more hype for her release.
