Daisy Lowe has said that she cried herself to sleep when she found out Gavin Rossdale was her biological father.
The model made the discovery aged 14, after thinking that a fertility specialist named Bronner Handwerger was her father for the first 14 years of her life.
Speaking to the London Evening Standard she explained: "That age is when you're at your most malleable; you're developing frontal lobes.
"But I'm very proud of those times 'cos at those moments when the s**t hits the fan I could either go out and get really f***ed up or I could go home, cry myself to sleep and wake up in the morning and give my mum a big cuddle, and feel better. And face it head-on."
Daisy's mother Pearl Lowe admitted she had slept with Gavin when a young Daisy found out neither Pearl or Bronner shared her blood type.
"[It was] a very interesting time." she said, recalling the revelation.
Now Daisy enjoys meditating and spending time with close friends to keep her grounded.
"We all love to go out, have a good dance and play. But none of them is destructive.
"Some have been or could've been but not now. It seems like there's been a generational shift; that people are learning to look after their bodies earlier, (sic)"
