Daniel Radcliffe is being praised for comments he made during an appearance on daytime breakfast show, Good Morning Britain, in which host Susanna Reid asked him for his thoughts on THAT Oscars slap.

There to promote his new film The Lost City, Radcliffe was asked to comment on Will Smith slapping Chris Rock following a joke the comedian had made at Jada Pinkett Smith's expense.

Speaking for the nation, Radcliffe responded: "I’m just so already dramatically bored of hearing people’s opinions about it that I just don’t want to be another opinion adding to it."

Radcliffe is the latest in a long line of randomly-selected celebrities who have been asked about the infamous Oscars moment.

He did however reflect on what it was like to sit through similar awards ceremonies as a child, when jokes would be made at the expense of him and his Harry Potter film series co-stars.

"When you’re going on stuff as a kid you’re never quite sure if the joke’s with you or you’re the butt of the joke,” Radcliffe said. “So you sort of have a mode of just being like ‘I’ll just keep smiling and laughing and maybe it’ll end soon.'"

As well as talking about working with Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum on The Lost City, he also addressed the rumours - again - that he may be the next actor to step into the shoes of Marvel anti-hero Wolverine.

He explained: “I keep getting asked about it and I always try and be like, ‘No, it’s not happening, it’s just a Twitter rumour.’ And everyone keeps taking that as confirmation. But it’s just fan theory at the moment. But I welcome the comparison. I mean, who wouldn’t like to be compared to Hugh Jackman?”

With host Ben Shepherd pushing him, he added: "I mean I’d never say never but that sounds like I’m almost inviting it. Like, I’m sure Marvel are watching me like ‘We’re not thinking about you dude.'"

Now, all eyes are turning towards Radcliffe's performance in The Lost City, which has earned praise in early reviews. Rotten Tomatoes sees the film currently sitting at a rating of 75% from critics and 84% from audiences, so he's sure to be left smiling with the response.
