David Arquette says his unborn son's name won't be "too quirky."

The 'Scream' actor, who has a nine-year-old daughter, Coco, with his ex-wife Courteney Cox, is thrilled that his girlfriend Christina McLarty is expecting a baby boy and isn't planning to shock people by choosing an unusual moniker.

The 42-year-old actor told UsMagazine.com at The Art of Elysium's 7th Annual HEAVEN Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday night (11.01.14): "I think we will go with something a little more traditional."

He also told E! News: "I've been a bit cryptic about it. It's going to be the name of my grandfather used to play. He was Cliff Arquette, but that's not the name we are thinking of."

Asked what he is looking forward to about having a son, he said: "It's all new, but it's all beautiful. Playing catch, making [his son] laugh, and seeing my girlfriend Christina being a mother for the first time and all the joy and love that it's going to bring her and me."

The 'Entertainment Tonight' reporter is currently craving eggs benedict and David brings it to her "first thing in the morning with extra hollandaise!"

Former 'Friends' star Courteney, 49, was the first to reveal David and Christina are expecting a baby boy in March.

The actor split from Courteney in 2010 after 11 years of marriage and they are still very close.

An insider recently said: "Although they're divorced, Courteney will never stop caring about David - especially now that he's going to give Coco a half-sibling ... David and Courteney see each other nearly every day as their producing business thrives."
