The retired soccer star and the fashion designer are so proud of their 11-year-old son after he unveiled his track 'If Every Day Was Christmas' but insist the most important thing is for him to be happy.

Asked what advice they have given him, he said: "Just be happy, if you don't want to do it, you can come back to it a bit later. And they just said that they're happy whatever I'm doing and singing makes me really happy. Brooklyn said to me that he's really proud and I can't ask for any more support. Everyone is so supportive."

And Cruz has confessed he'd love to collaborate with 'Thinking Out Loud' hitmaker Ed Sheeran.

He shared: "I just love all of his songs. If anyone picked one of the songs, I'd just love it. And I love how he plays the acoustic guitar like me."

Cruz also revealed he is a huge fan of Victoria's work with the Spice Girls.

Speaking to Roman Kemp on the Capital Evening Show, he said: "Yeah I love all of her old stuff. I remember when I was five years old I think, I was dancing on stage to one of her tunes."

Meanwhile, both David and Victoria - who also have Brooklyn, 17, Romeo, 14, and five-year-old Harper together - took to social media on Wednesday morning (07.12.16) to share their excitement at the song's release.

David wrote: "Not his average morning before school ... Proud of my little man with his new Christmas single and also helping children around the UK with the proceeds from this... #ifeverydaywaschristmas @cruzbeckham @AppleMusic @globals_make_some_noise (sic)"

Whilst Victoria added: "Love a choir at Christmas!! x Super proud of @cruzbeckham Thank u @rodneyjerkins X VB #IfEveryDayWasChristmas link to @applemusic in my bio @globals_make_some_noise (sic)"
