Ellen Pompeo has become a mother for the second time, and welcomed her new daughter into the world.
The child was born via surrogate for her and her husband Chris Ivery, and the actress shared the news through her WhoSay account on October 2.
Writing alongside a photo of Chris kissing the baby, she said: "Sienna May Ivery welcome to the world. We love you more than words can say."
She went on to tweet: "Sienna was born via surrogate & I would like to thank my whole @ShondalandTV family for helping us enjoy these first few weeks privately [love] U.(sic)"
The pair already have one daughter, five-year-old Stella.
Ellen recently revealed that she is considering leaving the world of acting when her time on Grey's Anatomy comes to an end, as she has no "strong desire" to find new roles.
"I definitely feel myself transitioning. I don't find acting terribly empowering. For the place I am in my life, I think my age, once I hit 40, I feel differently. I don't necessarily want to work for other people." she claimed.
