Sandra Bullock used to date one of George Clooney's best friends.
Clooney has known his co-star Sandra Bullock for more than 20 years and remembers being "very excited" when she got her first big break in 1993 as she was dating one of his best pal's at the time.
"Sandy is the best. We've been really close friends for a long, long time. She likes to say 20 years, but it's been a little longer than that. So just the idea that I got to work with her was a blast,the 52-year-old star tells People at the New York premiere of Gravity:
George also told reporters,"She was dating one of my best friends, a dear friend of mine for a long time. I got to know her long before any of us had succeeded. When she hit it big in the Sylvester Stallone movie ['Demolition Man'] - that was her big break in the film world, and we were all very excited for her."
Perpetual bachelor Clooney also talked about his unique bond with Sandra's son Louis, three, whom she adopted in 2010.
He said: "Louis and I played basketball together. There was [director] Alfonso [Cuarón] and Rande Gerber, and Louis would gravitate towards me and the guys and hang with us.
"It was fun, but I wish Sandy would stop telling the story, because it's totally ruining my reputation!"
