The Spice Girls singer has always felt more confident when she's in a "pack" with her female friends and thinks there's a unique connection between her and her pals.

Geri stressed the importance of sisterhood in a new episode of her YouTube series 'Rainbow Woman', in which she walks with female elephants at Woburn Safari in Bedfordshire, England.

She shared: "When I was in the Spice Girls when I was younger, we’d enter a room together. You feel a little bit more confident when you’re in a pack. It’s that female pack mentality.

"I need that sort of female support, that understanding, that connection that I can only ever get from them. I think as women, we understand that. We appreciate it."

In the new episode, Geri spends time with a herd of female elephants, and explains the lessons nature has taught her over the years.

The singer - who found stardom alongside Mel C, Mel B, Emma Bunton and Victoria Beckham - reflected: "I’ve always loved being around other females. The connection I have with other females, all together, I always feel uplifted and connected.

"It’s a very different language. We can look after each other. You can have each other’s backs. There’s a lot of unity from that. And these elephants, they teach us that."

Meanwhile, Geri previously claimed that the Spice Girls were a reflection of "what a lot of young girls were feeling" in the 90s.

The 'Wannabe' hitmaker explained: "Everything I have done has been about connecting with people.

"In the Spice Girls we were just trying to reflect what a lot of young girls were feeling at the time. They wanted to be heard, they wanted to be pretty and they wanted to be individual - but also to connect with other women."
