The 'Bridesmaids' actress - who has five-year-old Rocco and Rafa, three, with Bobby Cannavale - was born in Balmain, a suburb of Sydney, but has lived in New York for a while now.

And the 41-year-old star admitted it can get tiresome talking about the "Australian outback and wildlife", because she is a "city mouse".

Speaking on InStyle’s 'Ladies First” podcast', she said: "People are just fascinated with the Australian outback and the wildlife.

"It’s as foreign to me as it is to them, because I grew up in the city.

"I’m a city mouse."

Asked if she'll eventually snap, Rose jokingly replied: "Yeah I am. I’m going to snap. If you ask me about a kangaroo…"

Rose previously joked that she and Bobby are getting through quarantine with the help of "alcohol, drugs [and] porn".

The 'Mrs. America' star admitted she's finding the coronavirus pandemic "scary", though she insisted her family are staying "safe" indoors.

She said: "Listen, I feel lucky ... we're safe and we're okay, but it's scary.

"We have two little kids. We've just been inside, but I have friends who are working in the healthcare system."

Asked how she's keeping busy, the actress joked: "Just alcohol, drugs [and] porn."

Rose was living in New York when the city was at the centre of the pandemic.

However, the actress acknowledged she was in a privileged position at the time.

She previously explained: "Yeah, there are challenges but then you read the news for five minutes and think, 'I can't believe what people are going through.'

"Oh my goodness, some of the stories, it's heartbreaking. It makes you realise, 'I've really got nothing to complain about.'"
