The professional dancer and her fiance Aljaz Skorjanec - who also works on the show - are sad that the 72-year-old ballroom expert is stepping down from the panel at the end of the year, and can't see who will live up to him as a replacement judge.

Janette said: "We'll miss him so much. He's irreplaceable."

Janette and her celebrity partner Melvin Odoom were voted off in week one in this year's competition, while Aljaz and Daisy Lowe were the eighth couple to depart the series.

And the brunette beauty admitted the pair always "feel bad" when one of them dances off the show, though she insists they are never competitive with one another.

She told Britain's HELLO! magazine: "I was gutted to leave 'Strictly'. Aljaz has almost always stayed in longer than me, and you feel bad when one stays and the other leaves.

"Yet we are extremely supportive of one another, there's not an inch of competition between us.

"The loudest I've ever screamed in my life was when he won 'Strictly' with Abbey Clancy."

Janette and Aljaz are currently planning their wedding but she admits she turned down his advances for a whole year after they first met at a dance studio in 2010.

She recalled: "When he walked in, everyone went, 'Ooooh' and started giggling.

"Although he kept asking me out, it took me a year to give in and go on a date with him. I just couldn't say no to that beautiful face any more."

The dancer kept her hunky partner at a distance initially because "he's so handsome".

She explained: "Normally that means trouble to me.

"Then when I got to know him, I realised that although he's gorgeous on the outside, he's a thousand times more beautiful inside.

"That's what won me over more than anything, his amazing personality.

"But I do love saying I made him work at it a bit."
