The 25-year-old model - who was an Angel for the brand from 2011 to 2014 - thinks the show promotes "really powerful" women who "own their sexuality".

She told The Telegraph newspaper: "A show like Victoria's Secret is so relevant in the world we live in today. There's something really powerful about a woman who owns her sexuality and is in charge. A show like this celebrates that and allows all of us to be the best versions of ourselves.

"Whether it's wearing heels, make-up or a beautiful piece of lingerie - if you are in control and empowered by yourself, it's sexy. I personally love investing in a powerful scent or piece of lingerie, but I ensure it's on my terms. I like to set a positive example, so would never be part of something I didn't believe in. Women who have confidence and sensuality but in a much more mysterious way is something I find really attractive. When a women has confidence and is self-knowing, there is nothing she can't achieve."

Meanwhile, Karlie has called for women to support one another as she feels it is very "important".

Asked how important she finds the idea of women backing one another, she said: "It's such an important and necessary thing. I feel really lucky that I've had the guidance of my sisters, my mom, the strong women in my family my whole life. But also throughout my career, I've had the support of friends, whether they're my peers or mentors, women older than me who have been incredible friends and advocates. They've really shaped who I've become. It's important to share that kind of friendship and mentorship. It's like this amazing gift that keeps on giving, because when you are that friend or mentor to somebody else, that is a gift that they then want to share."
