Kate Moss' home suffers "thousands" of pounds in damage after a flood.

The supermodel's luxury £10 million mansion is one of several exclusive properties, and it is said her basement was particularly badly hit.

Speaking to The Sun newspaper, a fellow resident said: "I know Kate's basement flooded.

"It cost thousands in repairs to fix the lining."

Other homeowners on her street have reportedly blamed £50 million works at the nearby Witanhurt mansion in north London.

The 65-room home hosted now-defunct BBC talent show 'Fame Academy' in 2002, and recent work saw a two-storey underground expansion with a bar, gym, 70-foot swimming pool , cinema and 25-space car park - although Camden Council representatives have said pre-planning assessments found no significant risk of flood.

In happier news for the 39-year-old star, it was recently reported she is going to record a song with her husband Jamie Hince - guitarist for indie rockers The Kills - to celebrate her 40th birthday.

A source had revealed: "She's working on the song at the moment with husband Jamie Hince. It's shaping up to be a rocky number about her iconic career.

"Kate really wanted to mark the milestone birthday by recording the track and playing it at the big party she'll be having."
