Former glamour model Katie Price has revealed her plan to "test" her friends this Christmas because she worries about their "loyalty".

The former glamour model - who was left devastated earlier this year after learning her pals Jane Pountney and Chrissy Thomas cheated on her husband Kieran Hayler - will be taking a "step back" this year because she is worried that some of her pals are taking advantage of her generosity.

Katie Price has revealed her plan to "test" her friends this Christmas because she worries about their "loyalty".

She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I've really stepped back and valued things in a different way. For Christmas it will be a test, because I'm not going to go all out I'm gonna spend more on a couple of quality presents, wrap them up nice and give it that way and see what the reaction is.

"The trouble with Christmas is, because people think you earn money, you'll buy them massive and loads of presents. I've had a wake-up call this year and I'm thinking, you know what, people expect so much from me all of the time.

"If I was stripped back, as in I didn't have the money, didn't have the fame, would I really have some of the friends I have?"

The 36-year-old star - who has decided to stay with her husband, despite him cheating on her with Jane and Chrissy - was adamant her new outlook wasn't down to being stingy but simply because she wants her friends to love her as she is.

She said: "People look at me as if I am the Santa Claus, that I'm the one who's going to dish it all out. But this year - it's not being Scrooge or anything like that - I want to know that people actually really want to know me for me.

"Being loyal is a massive thing for me at the minute."

Speaking at the launch of her fifth perfume Kissable Fierce yesterday (03.12.14), Katie admitted she "never" gives her own products to her loved ones.

She said: "I never, ever, ever give my friends anything that I do, because I never go home and talk about work with them, for one.

"Like, for presents I wouldn't give it to them as a present. I would buy them a present. If they want anything I've got then I would give it to them. But I don't go home and say, 'Oh I've got all this and I've got that out.' "
