The 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star and the rest of the family are rallying around Kim Kardashian West after the terrifying incident, which took place in Paris earlier this month.

She told E! News: "I think it's just, you do what a mom does and you gather around, and you make sure she feels loved, and safe, and she's home, and that's all that matters. She wants to be with her kids, and family, and it's family first.

"You start looking at the world a little differently. When you have a daughter at home who's struggling because of something horrific and tragic that happened, you start looking around a little bit differently."

The 35-year-old star just wants to be close to her family right now and is planning to have a "very quiet" and intimate birthday celebration when she turns 36 on October 21.

A source shared recently: "Kim's birthday is going to be a very quiet celebration this year. She has no plans on making a big bash. She will have an intimate birthday with her immediate family.

"She is not in any celebrating mood yet. Kanye [West] is trying to do whatever he can to make her feel better, but it's just the constant memories of the robbery that keep on messing with her. She just wants to be around her family at this time."

And Kim - who has North, three, and Saint, 10 months, with her husband Kanye West - is set to take some "much needed time off".

Her assistant Stephanie Sheppard wrote: "Hey group, so you may have noticed we haven't updated the app in a couple weeks. Keeks is taking some much needed time off."
