The One Direction star bought the sprawling California mansion for $7.3 million back in 2016, and four years after he purchased it, he has now taken a $900,000 loss on the property after selling it on for $6.4 million.

Louis first listed the property - which boasts 6,000 square feet, an infinity pool, wine cellar, home movie theatre, guest suites and breathtaking views - in 2019 for $6.9 million, but slashed the price this August after no-one expressed an interest.

The 28-year-old singer bought the property so he could be closer to his son Freddie, now four, whom he has with his ex Briana Jungwirth.

Inside the home, Louis had opted for airy and almost bohemian-style interiors with rattan furniture, white furnishings and black mirrors.

The entire property has dark hardwood floors with white walls, floor-to-ceiling windows and a sweeping open staircase.

It also has a bright open-plan kitchen with dark wood cupboards and white marble counters, whilst other luxury details include a huge island, state-of-the-art equipment and a breakfast bar.

The terrace also features a fire pit area so homeowners and guests can enjoy the nightscapes while keeping warm, whilst in the sitting room, a large flat-screen television provides entertainment for all the family with the palatial pad also boasting its own impressive cinema room, which comes complete with speakers and wall-mounted screen.

Meanwhile, Louis’ sister Lottie Tomlinson recently admitted the family has grown closer than ever in recent years, following the tragic death of their mother Johannah, who passed away of leukaemia, and their sister Felicite, who accidentally overdosed aged just 18.

Speaking about her bond with her siblings, she said: "We wouldn’t be able to get through it without each other. We wouldn’t be as close if this hadn’t have happened. We appreciate each other so much because we know life’s so precious. We all absolutely adore each other now."
