The former ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ star was left stunned on Monday (07.12.20), when someone managed to pinch his Range Rover - which is worth £65,000 - from the drive of his home whilst he was inside the property.

He wrote on social media: "If Anyone sees a black Range Rover sport in the Chigwell area heading away from Abridge please tweet me.

"Just this second stolen off my drive whilst we are home. Unbelievable."

Luckily for the 33-year-old television personality, his high-end car is fitted with a tracker, meaning both he and local police were able to follow it.

And some hours later, the vehicle was found just 20 minutes away from Mark’s home.

Updating his fans, he wrote on Twitter: “Car has now been found 20mins away. Thank you to @MetaTrakUK @metpoliceuk @EssexPoliceUK for your incredible work. Thank you to all the people who tweeted and showed support. X (sic)”

Essex Police also offered an update on the situation, with a spokesman later adding: "We were called to reports a car had been stolen in Abridge at around 4.10pm on Monday 7 December. The vehicle was recovered in Ilford a short time later.”

And a source claimed the robbery occurred because Mark accidentally left his gate unlocked, giving thieves access to his drive.

They told The Sun: "Mark accidentally left his gate unlocked and that's when the car was stolen.

"But, the car has a tracker on it - Mark's already found it in Ilford so will have it back within the hour.”

Meanwhile, Mark recently insisted he believes fame has made him “nicer”, as he said he doesn’t believe life in the spotlight can completely change a person’s personality.

He said: "My friends are the same since school. I'm the boy I always was and I think that helps with my businesses. I don't think you can force that.

"I think if you're nice, fame makes you nicer. If you're not, fame makes you worse, and that is the biggest fact of life, ever. Some people forget their friends and go off into this showbiz life."
