The happy couple are set to tie the knot in May this year, and during an appearance on US talk show 'The Real' on Tuesday (27.02.18), 42-year-old singer Mel B appeared to confirm that she and her band mates - Victoria Beckham, Mel C, Emma Bunton, and Geri Horner - will take to the stage to perform at the reception.

Whilst on the show, Mel - whose full name is Melanie Brown - confirmed she would be in attendance at the nuptials at St George's Chapel inside Windsor Castle on May 19, before also letting slip news of her expected performance alongside the 'Wannabe' hitmakers.

She said: "I'm going. I don't know if I should've said that. Us five Spice Girls did [get an invitation]. Why am I so honest?"

Mel wouldn't divulge what the invitations to the big day looked like as she felt that was "too personal", but talk quickly moved on to whether or not the band would be performing at the reception after Prince Harry, 33, and Meghan, 36, have officially tied the knot.

The star didn't verbally confirm the news, but once the question was asked she threw her cue cards into the air, which prompted the show's hosts to cheer.

Mel then added: "I swear I'm just ... I need to go, I'm going to be fired. I'm gonna be fired."

It comes after Ed Sheeran recently confirmed he wouldn't be performing at the royal reception after rumours began circling the star, as he will be on tour in Ireland.

Addressing speculation he'd already landed the royal gig, the 'Shape of You' hitmaker said: "They said, 'If you were asked, would you say yes?' And I was like, 'Of course'."

"But journalists, like, everyone's like, 'Oh, he's playing it!'"

"But no one's looked at my tour dates. I'm in Ireland, I can't do it, I haven't been asked either."
