Melissa Joan Hart reveals that she used to use ecstasy, magic mushrooms and marijuana.
The actress, best known for her role in Sabrina the Teenage Witch back in 1996, took drugs on many nights out over an 18 month stint. She even took ecstasy in Hugh Hefner’s Playboy mansion in 1999 and kissed a girl as a result.
Melissa has just released her new book ‘Melissa Explains It All’, in which she says that "I experimented with weed, ecstasy, mushrooms and mescaline for about a year and a half." She now has three sons, Mason, 7, Brady, 5 and Tucker, 12 months and is married to Mark Wilkerson. She says in the book that she was once offered cocaine by Paris Hilton, which she denies, however Hart claims that she turned it down.
Hart says that the experimentation never led to her becoming addicted to any of the substances, however made her think about ditching her friends as they were a bad influence. She did so after turning up to a Maxim photo shoot high on ecstasy.
She said: "That was my third or fourth time on ecstasy.
"I was kind of running with a bad crowd. I just didn't enjoy taking drugs. I don't like the loss of control."
Melissa was also well known for her told in ‘Clarissa Explains It All’ and remembers that she kissed several stars, including Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter and 'Scary Movie 5' star Jerry O'Connell, who she refers to as a "man-w***e".
She is not Ashton Kutcher’s biggest fan either as she admits to trying to get him removed from many parties for his "smartass remarks".
She said: "Ashton and I just didn't get along."
