The 38-year-old singer is currently engaged to Chad Johnson, and has said that as she's now ready to start planning for motherhood, it's time to call on an old pact she made with Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland, in which they said they would all get pregnant at the same time.

Speaking to People magazine, she joked: "The girls and I had this thing where we wanted to be pregnant at the same time and have our tour buses with bassinets in it.

"The night we try to get pregnant, I'm gonna call them and say 'Okay, y'all get to work!'"

The 'Survivor' hitmaker's decision to start a family comes after she previously revealed her battle with depression caused her to temporarily call off her engagement to Chad, although she now says they're better than ever.

She said: "I'd been there before in that darkness. I was like, 'No, you better go [to the hospital].' By the time I got there, I was stable. However, I would've understood if he left. He's been praying for a wife. He didn't pray for a depressed wife.

"I'm absolutely thankful for Chad. I'm excited to do life with him. It's not about marrying him. It's to do life with him. I feel like I found someone to do life with."

And although she might be ready for kids, she and Chad - who are starring in reality show 'Chad Loves Michelle' - won't have sex before they tie the knot.

The press release for their new reality show read: "[The couple will be seen moving in together], but not to the same bedroom. Guided by their faith and unwavering values, the couple has vowed to consummate the relationship only after they are wed."
