The 'Stranger Things' actress is an honorary member of the board for the childhood cancer charity, and has lent a hand in raising the whopping sum after a limited number of tickets for a private lunch with Millie were auctioned off for $5,000 each during a charity night.

Millie, 14, began working with the foundation after she struck up a friendship with a 'Stranger Things' fan named Olivia Lorusso, who battled cancer herself and kept in touch with Millie during her treatment.

Olivia unfortunately lost her brave fight against the disease, and her family, along with Millie, continued the work of the Olivia Hope Foundation in the hopes of raising funds for targeted therapies for childhood cancer treatments.

The foundation held their first ever charity benefit in New York on May 4, during which the tickets for lunch with Millie were auctioned off.

The actress then met with the ticket winners for a special lunch at a secluded, private residence, where she was photographed taking selfies with the lucky fans.

Michelle Lorusso, Olivia's mother and president of the Olivia Hope Foundation, said: "Millie was gracious and engaging, and she sat with the winners, talked with them, ate lunch and played games. It was a very special day for our foundation and for all the people involved."

Millie has become known for her kind deeds, as she previously vowed to attend the birthday party of 12-year-old fan Aaron, after he threw a party based on 'Stranger Things' only to find that none of his friends showed up.

Aaron's sad news was shared on Twitter by his older sister, and Millie - who plays Eleven - replied: "What!!!! Oh Well You can let them all know that everyone on behalf on Stranger things would've come! I think your awesome and next year I would like an invite... Please? (sic)"
