The 42-year-old singer was disappointed that his ex-wife - who he also has 10-year-old son Junior with - decided to post a clip of Princess sticking up for her mum after she was slammed online for uploading a picture of the youngster wearing heavy make-up.

When asked if Pete had said anything to her about the controversial picture, Katie replied: "He did after the video, he said, 'She doesn't speak like that.' We have brought them up well, they have really got manners.

"He said, 'I don't mind you putting pictures up because I do it to,' but he said, 'There could be paedophiles,' and I said, 'Pete, I know you're right.'

"Everyone has had a go at me, you're all right. I'm sorry."

Katie, 37, came under fire from fans for posting the picture of Princess pouting and caked in make-up on Instagram back in December, while they were in her 'Sleeping Beauty' pantomime dressing room, and now admits she was wrong to post the image.

She said: "So many people had a go at me saying, 'Kate, paedophiles, this and that,' and then I thought, 'Oh my god, you're actually right.' I didn't think of it like that.

"Now I know when you say it I can see it. But when you see it at home for her to do it it's natural. She doesn't do it at her dad's.

"I can't argue. I'm in the wrong."

After posting the picture, Katie was approached by a high-fashion magazine offering the youngster a photoshoot - but the reality TV star had to turn the publication down.

Speaking on talk show 'Loose Women', she said: "I had to think, 'Kate, look what you're doing.' It would've been very controversial and I don't want to be controversial with my daughter. I don't care about myself.

"So I had to say no."

Before the end of the segment on the talk show, the mother-of-five asked the audience whether she should allow her daughters Princess and 17-month-old Bunny - who she has with husband Kieran Hayler - to get their ears pierced.

Katie - who also has sons Harvey, 13, from a relationship with ex-soccer player Dwight Yorke, and two-year-old Jett with personal trainer Kieran - said: "Princess wants her ears pierced at the weekend and Bunny does, do you thinks he should get them, she's eight?"

The audience mainly agreed it was fine for Princess, but when she asked if Bunny should be allowed to get her ears pierced she was met with a largely negative reaction.
