The former 'The View' presenter recently reconciled with her 19-year-old adopted child - who Rosie reported missing in August 2015 - but this week Chelsea was reportedly admitted to Long Island hospital where she underwent a psychiatric evaluation.

The hospital is known for specialising in mental health assessments on an emergency basis and although Rosie has not revealed what her daughter is being treated for she logged on to the social media site to assure everyone Chelsea is fine.

Alongside a throwback photo of Chelsea when she was a younger teenager, Rosie tweeted: "She is ok... #RealLife #chillymy (sic)"

The only news about Chelsea has been reported by E! who have been informed by a source that she is "alert and awake" and is "safe".

Rosie, 54, and her daughter have endured many difficulties in their relationship

Chelsea had previously claimed her mother ordered her to leave the family home on August 11, 2015, two weeks before she turned 18.

She said: "She told me to leave and take my dog.

"Rosie said that I was almost 18, and she got all this c**p from work, and she didn't want to have to deal with that at home too.

"Rosie knew I was planning to leave, that's why I think she kicked me out.

"She asked me to talk about what was going on and I didn't want to. So she asked for my phone and my computer. I gave them to her. A few hours later, she told me to leave. I wasn't planning to go until I turned 18 on the 24th."

Rosie reported Chelsea missing in August 2015 but she was later found with her 25-year-old boyfriend Steven Sheerer hours later.

But Chelsea claims when she returned home her bags were packed.

She previously said: "She had two of my bags packed with clothes. Literally 10 minutes after the police had dropped me off at the house, I got in a car and went to a friend's house."
