The 37-year-old reality star had a brief stint in a treatment facility earlier this year to "work on his past traumas” after it was claimed he was still processing the grief of losing his parents, who died within months of each other between October 2013 and January 2014.

And in a preview clip of Thursday’s (12.11.20) episode of ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ - which was filmed before Scott went to the facility in April - Scott admitted seeing a therapist hadn’t been enough for him to fully put his trauma behind him.

Speaking to his ex-girlfriend Kourtney Kardashian - with whom he has Mason, 10, Penelope, eight, and Reign, five - about entering a treatment centre, he said: “I go to therapy every week but I never have any breakthroughs and I never feel happy. Like I didn’t grieve my parents correctly or give them enough time. I just want to be the best person I can be for my family.

“A couple people told me about this place that specifically deals with past traumas. I want to learn how to deal with everything the right way. If you’re fine having the kids and stuff and you’re good with everything. I would go for at least a month.”

The ‘Flip It Like Disick’ star then explained in a confessional that the coronavirus pandemic had left him feeling “more and more depressed” because he had “nothing to do” that would take his mind off things.

He said: “I just can’t handle having nothing to do. The truth was I started feeling more and more anxious, more and more depressed. Like I was going to do something bad if I didn’t figure something out or take myself out of this position. I think now is the time to work on it.”

And in her own confessional, 41-year-old Kourtney admitted she was “more than happy” to support her former partner.

She said: “I am caught a little off guard because for the first time Scott isn’t being asked to go away. He isn’t having an issue with alcohol or drugs. It’s his idea. I think it feels really different.

“I want him to be the best he can for my kids and for himself and for me. I’m more than happy to support him in anyway that I can. This time, I think it’s bringing up really important work that we all have to do.”

Scott checked into a treatment centre in Colorado in April, but checked out a week later, after pictures of him were leaked online alongside the audio of his conversations with his therapist.

He later lodged legal action against the centre, accusing them of an “extreme invasion of privacy”.
