The 'Suicide Squad' star is glad to be residing in Rancho Santa Fe, California as he feels the pace of life is much slower there.

He said: "Luckily, I don't reside here every day in LA. I think it would be a little tougher, just because there are weird things that happen in LA with paparazzi and things. A lot of these people, they go to these places, they know what they're getting into: they know there's going to be paparazzi there ... They choose to go to these sort of venues. [But] you could go to a hole in the wall Mexican place and have margaritas with your friends and not be a weird thing.

"I just liked the lifestyle of being outside of the traffic and just being a little slower. I live down near Rancho Santa Fe - a mile from the beach, you can have horses on your property, I can be driving my pickup truck to go get coffee. It's calm ... It's a very different style of life."

And the 30-year-old actor lives by a phrase he heard Matt Damon say, which deals with how perception can change things.

He told PEOPLE magazine: "I heard Matt Damon say this one time, and I thought it was so true, 'Your perception of you doesn't change; it's the world's perception of you.' My perception of me is still the same person, and I still live the same life I live."
