The 'Longest Ride' star was approached to take the leading role of Christian Grey in the erotic film - which eventually went to Jamie Dornan - and whilst he felt it could have been a "good movie" for him, he was unhappy that the producers wanted him to sign the deal before he was even tested.

He told Variety: "They wanted me to sign a deal before I went in and even tested for it, which to me is backwards.

"I thought it could make a good movie. The problem is, if you don't have a script, you don't know what movie they are going to make."

Meanwhile, Scott - whose father is legendary director Clint Eastwood - previously revealed his dad made him work hard for any luxuries he wanted.

He said: "My dad was pretty old school. I've had a job since I can remember and it's not like he was like, 'Hey, what kind of car do you want?'

"My first car was a '91 Ford Crown Victoria that was $1,000. And I had to buy every car after that. I had to do it all.

"My dad was always super-active and got me in the gym at a young age. He wanted me to be health-conscious. Healthy body, healthy mind; that's what he preached to me."
