Selena Gomez has hinted she dumped Justin Bieber because of his huge ego.
The 'Come & Get It' hitmaker, who dated the Canadian popstar on and off for two years, has confirmed she recently ended their relationship for good and is happily single, despite being photographed with him at a party on July 4.
Asked about her love life, the 21-year-old singer told Ryan Seacrest on Monday (22.07.13): "No, I'm not (dating Justin any more). Yes, I am [single]."
She added: "I learned a lot. I learned that I should definitely keep it way more private next time.
"Honesty. Egos turn me off, big time. ... You are who you surround yourself with. I know that's such a cliché quote, but it's true. I've just witnessed it too much. ... I learned that I should definitely keep it way more private next time."
The brunette beauty also suggested she is fed up of being associated with her 19-year-old ex-boyfriend and told reporters from 'Good Day Philadelphia' that their Justin-related questions seemed "very unnecessary to focus on."
She said: "I distance myself as much as I can."
The pair first split up in November but were seeing each other casually until very recently.
Justin previously revealed she was his first celebrity crush when he was 15.
