Sia has offered to take on the role of Samantha Jones to save the 'Sex and the City 3' film.

Plans for the potential sequel were shelved amid rumours that Kim Cattrall, who played maneater Samantha in the TV series and two movies, had made a series of diva demands which Warner Bros. Studios would not meet - claims she has denied.

Without Samantha the other three fictional friends, Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), Charlotte York Goldenblatt (Kristin Davis) and Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon), could not be brought back for one final adventure.

'SATC' super-fan Sia, 41, is ready to step into Kim's shoes and fill the role because she is so desperate to see the story unfold on the big screen.

The 'Chandelier' hitmaker told Beats 1 host Zane Lowe: "I'll play Sam! I'll take the bullet. I'll take all the haters saying, 'She's not Sam.' I don't care, I just want to see the movie."

And Sia - who split from husband Erik Anders Lang last year - is adamant she has the necessary experience to play sex-mad Samantha and do the character justice.

She added: "I had a very promiscuous early 20s, I can do it!"

One other person desperate to see the franchise return is Kristin, and she is still hopeful something can be worked out to save the third film.

The 52-year-old actress recently said: "Maybe we'll figure out something to do, I don't know, it would be great.

"I just feel like it's a positive thing all the way around ... I'm just grateful and I know my co-stars are grateful as well that we have the fan support, that we have each other, that we love each other."
