The former 'Celebrity Big Brother' star was left weeping as he held a funeral for his beloved pet Hummer Angel after he tragically passed away because he couldn't handle the sweltering temperature.

Taking to his Snapchat account, the 34-year-old reality TV star uploaded a video of his lifeless bird and said: "He's dead and I don't know why. Close your eyes if you easily cry, but I want people to know what I'm dealing with today. He's so precious. I feel guilty that I slept in a little later, like if I'd got out here earlier and seen him...' I really think it's this heat. I don't think he got to the nectar."

Spencer then held a funeral for his feathered friend in his back garden.

He placed Hummer Angel's lifeless body in a flower-lined box, waved incense over the grave and covered the cardboard coffin with soil, before placing a cross in the mud while 'Yesterday' by The Beatles and 'Hallelujah' by Jeff Buckley played in the background.

Spencer's tragic loss comes three weeks after he and his wife Heidi Montag welcomed their first child - a little boy - called Gunnar into the world surrounded by $27,000 worth of crystals at the wish of the hunk.

Taking to Twitter shortly after Gunnar made his arrival, Spencer wrote: "Shout out @crystalarium1 for dropping off $27,000 in crystals for the birth (sic)"

And Crystalarium in West Hollywood, who supplied the crystals, tweeted from their own account: "Congrats to @heidimontag and @spencerpratt on their new arrival!

"Sending love and blessings! We can't wait to meet Gunner Stone! ... We were honored to be a part of the birth! And we're super excited for your awesome family!! (sic)"
