The 26-year-old pop star's younger sibling has been offered a guest slot in season two of the hit comedy series alongside Miley Cyrus' dad, who plays scandal-ridden Elvis impersonator Vernon Brownmule, aka 'Burnin' Vernon.'

Taylor's brother will star as Tyler, the manager of Nashville's premiere music venue The Bluebird Café and he'll share the screen with Hollywood veteran Richard Dreyfus' niece Natalie Dreyfuss, who reprises her role from series one Leia.

Austin is steadily building his acting career, having graduated from Notre Dame's prestigious Department of Film, Television and Theater in 2015.

He'll appear in Ben Affleck's Prohibition-era drama 'Live By Night' alongside Elle Fanning and will star in the forthcoming movie 'Cover Versions' - a film centred on four band members linked to a murder at a music festival after a night of sex, drugs and chaos.

The hunky 24-year-old is a member of his famous sister's squad and has been pictured out and about at events with the likes of Selena Gomez, karly Kloss and Gigi Hadid.

Taylor even teased her bro is cooler than she is in her hit track 'The Best Day', which includes the lyrics: "God smiles on my little brother / Inside and out / He's better than I am."

What's more, Austin is fiercely loyal to his big sis and during her well publicised feud with Kanye West last year, he shared a video on Instagram of him throwing a pair of Kanye's Yeezy trainers into a bin and captioned it "spring cleaning".

In the clip, Austin merrily Whistles as he slings the grey footwear into the trash and carries the bin outside to be emptied.

He captioned the video: "Getting a head start on some spring cleaning. Here we go again."
