The 25-year-old star has confirmed that his new solo album, entitled 'Bloom Forever', centres on the death of his wife, who died of a heroin overdose in April 2014.

He shared: "It didn't feel wrong to write a whole record about it.

"I started out wanting to do something in the vein of the musicians I love from the seventies.

"Listen to John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band - it's painful, it's brutal, it's so honest."

Thomas, who is currently dating British model Daisy Lowe, also revealed the Geldolf family are still to give the album their seal of approval.

He told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: "Nobody has said I've done this great thing or had any opinion on it.

"I was conscious I was making an entirely unfashionable, out-of-touch record that is really f***ing weird.

"But that's what I am. Sir Bob with nothing to say? Hell must have frozen over."

Earlier this month, meanwhile, Daisy Lowe admitted her family are keen for her to settle down.

Daisy said: "I'm a traditional girl. One day. I'm not ready for it any time soon, but yeah, course. My whole family would only want that. They want to see me get married and they want to have grandchildren.

"Make sure we get the 'one day' in because I am having visions of people thinking I've decided I want children now. I'm not ready for that, I want to have lots of fun first."
