The Beatles legend was with his wife Nancy Shevell, Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins and Beck when they attempted to get into the bash at Argyle in Hollywood after the Los Angeles ceremony on Monday night (15.02.16).

McCartney, 73, and his pals' attempts to get in were caught on video and the 'Get Back' rocker - who has won more than 20 Grammys - is heard saying to the security guards: "How VIP do we gotta get? We need another hit, guys. We need another hit."

Tyga has now taken to his Twitter account to absolve himself of blame for McCartney's snub insisting he would have been honoured to have one of The Fab Four at his his bash.

The 28-year-old rapper tweeted: "Why would I deny @PaulMcCartney stop it. He's a legend ... I don't control the door. I had no knowledge SIR PAUL was there. I just performed and left."

McCartney didn't let the bash block spoil his night and his wife and friends left the Argyle and headed to Hyde for the Republic Records party.

Perhaps if Kanye West had been at the bash McCartney and co would have been granted entry.

The hip hop superstar previously worked with the revered musician on three tracks, including 'All Day', and is the husband of Kim Kardashian West, the sister of Tyga's girlfriend Kylie Jenner, 18.
