The WWE legend slammed the 'Crank That (Soulja Boy)' hitmaker after he called the sports entertainment brand "fake".

He tweeted earlier this week: "Rap game faker than WWE."

The comment irritated some of the top wrestling stars, including Orton himself who pointed to the amount of training and risk that goes into their careers.

He wrote: "Fake? Dare this p**** to step up. He dont like movies? Consider us actors that do stunts, without pads 200 days a year and don’t b**** when we get surgically repaired and come right back.

"Consider us 100 times tougher then anyone you've come across Aint nuthin but a b***** a**... (sic)"

However, the 30-year-old rapper didn't back down, as he replied: "Do u know who the f*** I am. I'll bring the REAL to wrestling don't play with me. Randy Ortonnnnnnnn?????????? (sic)"

Orton's fellow WWE superstar T-Bar - who appears as part of the Retribution faction on 'WWE Raw' - also weighed in hours after this week's episode went off the air.

He said: "Does the rap game take years off your life and leave you with countless injuries and debilitating pain? Oh well maybe just stick to super soaking h*** or whatever it is you did 15 years ago. (sic)"

Last month, rapper Bow Wow also called out WWE superstars, although the 33-year-old star revealed his plans to actually wrestle once he retires from music.

He tweeted: "Now i know this might sound crazy... BUT... after i drop my last album. I will focus on tv and film. And joining the @WWE its been a life long childhood dream to wrestle in the WWE!!!! (sic)"

The star - whose real name is Shad Moss - even has a potential tag team partner in mind, and he wants to chase after the gold alongside legendary masked superstar Rey Mysterio.

Bow Wow also got embroiled in a social media row with T-Bar.

The towering grappler replied: "It doesn't sound crazy. It is crazy. Don't make us destroy you. Also Like Mike sucked. #RETRIBUTION (sic)"
