She explained: “The celebrity world can be so ugly. Everyone seems to have slept with everyone else and it"s some sort of strange weird cycle. I don"t want to get into that.” So far, so good. Eva seems to have avoided the "casting couch" rumours that have dogged so many of her female predecessors and last year denied reports that she had seduced "Stuck on You" co-star Matt Damon: “It wasn't true” she was quoted as saying.
But still, she remains tight-lipped about her current love interest. Stunning Eva has been romancing her latest lucky lover for more than a year, but refuses to name her mystery man, preferring to keep her relationship out of the public eye.
But, safe to say the couple are not heading down the aisle any time soon. “I don't think so” she said, “I come from a broken home, which might have some influence on my not tying the knot. Our relationship is great. So if it ain't broke, why fix it?” Why indeed?
So with her romantic life safely locked away from the Hollywood machine that has chewed up and spat out so many high-profile affairs before, multi-talented Eva is now keen to turn her attention to other fields after finally making her name as a lead actress.
“I"ve been working for a long time for this moment” She revealed, “It was like "Finally, I get to do it and be in more than four scenes."” Having conquered Hollywood, as well as penning a children"s book, fronting cosmetic campaigns and building her name from scratch in less than 10 years it seems unlikely that this brunette babe will be "Gone in 60 seconds".
Eva Mendes, it seems, is here to stay. Don"t say we didn"t warn you.
