So, latest talk about famous and fearless first, how did you find it? It looked terrifying!

It was good, I don’t know how I’m so knackered but I literally just seem to have come round, I’ve been in a bit of a, I don’t know if I was on a bit of a come down from all the adrenalin or something. I’ve been a bit of a zombie the past few days so I’ve just started to come back to life.

Was it hard work doing all the challenges?

It was fun, but because it’s a TV programme there’s a lot of waiting around, so the waiting around is the most difficult bit for me because I just love to get on with things and get cracking. But the actual sports and stuff we got to do were great fun.

Which of the challenges was your favourite?

I loved all the ones the boys were doing basically! I wanted to do the dirty buggies but I really enjoyed the hovercraft racing that was fun and the street luge was quite fun.

Was there any point where you thought you just couldn’t do it because it was too hard?

There was no point where I thought ‘I can’t do it’ but there were times when I was thinking I really don’t want to do it. But I know the person that I am I would never not do something.

When you were stood at the top of the building and stepped over the edge to do the abseil, I don’t know how you did that...

Yeah that was awful! Yeah that was stupid, just a daft idea by some evil person.

Are you proud of yourself now you’ve done it though?

Do you know what, it’s a bit of a weird one because I’ve not watched the show back and the abseil itself I kind of went a bit weird. I blanked out for a bit because I was so absolutely petrified I don’t actually remember doing it so I won’t believe I’ve done it until I watch it. Well when we watched it in the [Liverpool] Echo Arena, we kind of watched in on the screen but you couldn’t really see what was going on and you couldn’t hear it either, so when I finally get round to watching it back I might feel proud of myself then.

Were you disappointed when you didn’t win because you were at the top of the leader board most of the way?

I was disappointed when I didn’t win, but I think it’s called karma because I did kind of take Kelly out on a bike.

Maybe that’s fair enough then. And the new series of Snog, Marry, Avoid? starts tonight doesn’t it?

Yeah it starts at 8 o’clock tonight.

Are the make-unders as drastic as last time?

They’re actually worse, they really upped their game this time there’s some absolute corkers on there.

What do you think of the people when you meet them when they come on the show?

Well I’m kind of used to them now but, my boyfriend, he’s from Spain and he doesn’t ever see people like this and when I was working I’d take a picture of myself with the people we were making under and he’d be like ‘what is that!?’. So I’m kind of immune to it now but I suppose it is quite shocking to some people, and especially with like 17 pairs of false lashes.

Seventeen pairs?

Well yeah there was a girl on this series and she wears six sets of false lashes in one go!

Goodness me. Would you say you can tell which of the contestants are going to stick to the new look you give them and which are going to go straight back?

Yeah definitely, I mean there’s one particular girl this year and as soon as she saw herself she started crying. Well we’ve had a couple of criers this season, but this one particular girl stands out. She used to go out wearing like fur bikinis and wearing loads of makeup, and then after we gave her the make-under she started crying and she loved it. Then when she came back for the catch up she looked even more natural again, and she looked gorgeous so she was really happy with it.

Lady Victoria Hervey was on it this year as well wasn’t she?

Oh yeah that was massively uneventful.

Do you think it was harder to be brutally honest because she was a celebrity figure rather than just being a member of the public?

No absolutely not, it just makes it more fun!

What was she like to work with?

I didn’t really spend that much time with her you know, it was more POD that got to abuse her, so I didn’t really spend that much time with her really, there wasn’t that much for me to get involved with.

What did she make of the look once it was done?

I think she was just massively unimpressed, as she is with everything.

Do the contestants actually dress like that every day or is it exaggerated for the show?

It’s not exaggerated at all, it really isn’t, we tell them to come how they come themselves and we don’t touch them before, the only time we touch them is after when we make them under. Its 100% their own doing.

Is it hard to take them seriously when you meet them and their dressed like that?

Well this series there’s this one girl who comes on the show and she came on dressed like an absolute nut job and then we made her under and she looked absolutely gorgeous. Then the next time I met her I thought well, she’s either going to look like the nut job again or she’ll have kept it, she walked in looking like bloody Charlie Chaplin, like full white painted face with a moustache and everything.

And that wasn’t what she looked like before the make-under?

No before she looked like, she had like dolls sticking out of her hair and stuff. I think she was just weird though.

Do you think you’d be where you are today if it wasn’t for Atomic Kitten all those years ago?

No I think it’s quite a difficult job to get into so I’m very fortunate to have started in Atomic Kitten because my face was always recognised enough from that and my name so it does help you when you’re starting to get into presenting.

Do you still speak to any of the other Atomic Kitten girls?

I do indeed, I do yes.

And we heard you set up a make-up academy in Manchester with your friend, tell us about that?

No, well I started the business with my friend but she was doing all the hard work so I pulled out of it basically.

Oh I see...but is it still running?

Yeah yeah, it’s Cassie Lomas Make-up Academy. You know I’m still involved as her best friend but I’m not involved as a business partner anymore.

What would you say has been the highlight of your career so far?

Oh gosh I don’t know. Probably singing backing vocals for Paul McCartney on Hey Jude and Buckingham Palace that was quite cool.

What have you got planned for the rest of 2011?

The rest of 2011 I want to spend quality time with my family and make good TV.
