Why did you decide to do a couple of collaborations before releasing solo material?
I don't it was decided like that it just sort of happened that way we got the Bodyrox track and then obviously we had success with that which was amazing we didn't expect that to happen at all. ANd then this track came in in October and erm I had these lyrics in my head for a couple of weeks and they fitted over the track perfectly. Then everyone said the track was great and should be the second single. That's how it happened really it was not premedatated. Then the abum is going to come out in September. You have a solo single and album due out in the next few months did you write the album?Yeah well I did a thing called Portabello a project called Portabello a couple of years ago so I'm going to take five tracks from Portabello and just rearrange them to fit with the more dance tracks that we are doing. It's sounding really good it's exciting really exciting.
who are your musical influences when you write your music?
Well I love Blondie obviously, David Bowie, Bow Wow Wow, Adam and the Ants and all the punk people. Punksters I love it.
What was it like to be nominated for an Ivor Novello Award?
I felt like I was gatecrashing my own party I thought what am I doing here but it was really nice. I took my dad there and it was lovely really lovely, nice to be there. It was so unexpected I was gobsmacked throighout the whole thing it was lovely a really really nice day.
Were you surprised by the sucess of Bodyrox?

Very surprised we didn't know it was going to happen at all. We got the track and we wrote the track my writing partner Nick Clow and I then it was out in October and we made a video then it was at number two. It was all really really quick. as a result

You do writing for other artists is that correct?

Yeah we have just put tracks forward for Kylie and the Sugababes which is great so we will see what comes of that and we are doing a couple more tracks with Super Mal.

How did the collaboration with Super Mal come about?

We just got sent the track in October it was simple and like I said we just added the lyrics and it was just you know like magic it was, it was just sp easy to do and it worked and it'snot often that that happens and it's nice its the second single as well.

You have a myspace page just how has that benefitted you?

It's been everything we can speak to all the friends on myspace and that's were we get most of our feedback coz we can put pictures and videos up there. I have got to thank myspace for most of our success aw well you know without that I possibly wouldn't be here making an album so that's how beneficial myspace has been to me.

Hi Lyndon tell us a bit about Super Mal

Super Mal is myself Lyndon Coyne obviously, anither guy called Jay Compton and another guy called James Reynolds. Jay and myself have been friends for years and we have always been interested in bands and big on bands and DJing and that sort of thing. We started writing together about 2 years ago.

We set up our own record label in October last year Bandito records and we got Bigger Than Big well origionally it was Big and Bigger we got that finished before christmas with James.

We then sent it round and she got top line bid we sent it round to a number of people and hers was the first back and it was head and shoulders above the rest. We loved it staright away and the decision was made as soon as everyone had heard it - it's been like a whirlwind.

After the promotion of this single what else have you got planned?

We have been working on some remixes with acts that have been signed to our label we are also working on the Super Mal follow up which will be an origional piece. We have some ideas in mind in terms of writers that we want to work with so I think that the next one will be quite a traditional Daft Punky house type thing. That's sounding good at the moment.

We are also writing a track for Luciana's album that won't be a Super Mal thing it will be a Luciana thing but we are going tobe producing that.

There's lots of activity at the moment we have got some gigs in Poland and we are playing Ministry (of Sound) in September.

Who are your musical influences?

In terms of specifically around Bigger Than Big the kind of stuffthat we wre influenced by listening to alot of early eighties electric and hip hop from the street sounds compliationand that had a big influence on us.

In terms of current stuff the French sound has a big influence on us particularly the Kitsone Label and the Ed Banger label. Alot of the stuff that is coming out of France at the moment is the big drive in terms of the sound we are going for ou course we want to make it our own and make it different.

I asked Luciana the smae question what has been the impact and benefits for you having a myspace page?

It's been huge the myspace in terms of cutting out the middle man. Access to the fans basically it's been unbelivable in the last month specifically has just taken off.

It's great to number one thank people for their supporting you directly and number two being able to give them updates on things that are happening happening for us, it's such an easy medium you can just throw out a bulletin and people that are intersted in you can find out imediately where you are going, where you can be seen an you know what things they have got on the horizon I think it's fantastic.

The single Bigger Than Big is released on July 9
