The Affordable Art Fair

The Affordable Art Fair

In two weeks time, the Affordable Art Fair Hampstead will open its doors to showcase a range of works from 113 galleries and hundreds of handpicked artists. The fair comes to Hampstead for the third consecutive year and, this time, for its first summer date.

Over 20,000 art lovers are expected to flock to the Heath to browse original prints, paintings, sculpture, photography and etchings from established names and emerging talent alike. All art on sale will be priced from an affordable £40 up to £4,000, with selected pieces featuring in the curated Art Under £500 exhibition. Famous for its friendly atmosphere and commitment to democratising art buying, the Affordable Art Fair is firmly established as a go-to destination for anyone looking to invest in a piece that they really love.

Fair Director of Affordable Art Fair Hampstead, Romy Westwood comments, “We’re delighted to return to Hampstead to offer North Londoners the very best affordable art, for a third year running. “This year, we’ve moved the fair to June so visitors will be able to make the most of the Heath and enjoy a summer’s day surrounded by art. With such a diverse range of art on sale, the really is something here for every taste and budget.”

The fair is not solely about buying art; visitors will have the opportunity to get creative in artist-led workshops or enjoy one of the free and informal talks or tours. There’s also the chance to visit the Print Studio to join a hands-on printmaking class where you’ll be able to create, and take home, your very own drypoint as a personal memento.
This year, the Hampstead fair also boasts its own artist in residence, Egle Jauncemaite. Egle will be onsite regularly throughout the fair interacting with visitors and creating fantastic new woven artwork as part of the ‘Ways of Seeing’ emerging artists exhibition. This is specially curated for AAF by Made in the Arts London, who offer practical support to new artists, helping them to break into the market and develop business skills.

With the surroundings and the atmosphere making for a wonderful day out, the Affordable Art Fair has everyone in mind. There’s no better illustration of that than the range of art works below offering bang for your buck to suit every budget.

Just two weeks away, the Affordable Art Fair Hampstead is this summer’s number one day out for art-lovers, collectors, families and friends alike.
